“After years of losing strength on the left side of my body, I had an MRI done. The MRI showed a cervical disc issue. A friend recommended Dr. Sanfilippo who had performed surgery on her for a similar issue and she had a really good experience. I met with Dr. Sanfilippo and he knew right away after viewing the disc what my problem was and how to fix it. I was so relieved that someone finally listened to me. For years I was referred to pain management doctors which were useless.
From that appointment forward I couldn't have wished for a better experience. The pre-admission testing interview at Virtua Memorial was also a great experience. I met with Nurse Terry Scafide. She made you feel like she was a long lost friend that you were having coffee with. Simply charming and made that part a breeze. The surgery was explained in detail to me a few times by Dr. Sanfilippo. In his office and before surgery. He speaks to you and not at you. He makes you very comfortable and you sense that you're in good hands. The surgery was very successful and the recovery was just how it was explained to me and there were no surprises.
All post-op appointments were just as good. I started gaining strength back that I had not had in years.
As I told Dr. Sanfilippo, his hands and his ability to use them to heal people are a gift. And his staff should be commended for being so professional, compassionate and kind. I would highly recommend these doctors to anyone. ”
