Gregory Mattoccia, P.T., D.P.T.

Gregory Mattoccia is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers University), where he completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2012. Prior to his graduate studies, he graduated from Stockton University with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2009 with an interest in health and exercise.

Gregory has been practicing orthopedic outpatient physical therapy since graduating in 2012. He has been the clinic manager at Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics' Sewell location since the office opened in 2018. Gregory has a special interest in expanding his skills in manual therapy, including instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization (IASTM), KT taping, cupping, and mobilization/manipulation techniques. He is experienced in a wide variety of clinical diagnoses and post-op rehab, including total knee and total hip arthroplasty, reverse shoulder replacement, rotator cuff repair, Superior Labrum Anterior-Posterior (SLAP) repair, biceps tenodesis, ACL reconstruction, medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction with tibial tubercle osteotomy, patella tendon/quad repair, meniscectomy and meniscus repair, and spinal fusion. 

Gregory believes in a functional integrative rehab approach focusing on the goals of the patient while keeping in mind the wants and needs of the patient throughout their rehab program.
