Allison Piatek grew up in North Jersey and graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, where she led the soccer and basketball teams to a combined five county championships. She then continued her soccer career at Johns Hopkins University, where she graduated with a double major.

Allison’s love for both medicine and sports grew during these pivotal college years and led her to Long Island University in Brooklyn, where she earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies while also holding the title of the class copresident. Allison has worked her entire early career as a physician assistant in orthopedics at New-York-Presbyterian, where she gained experience in sports-related injuries as well as joint, trauma, and spine care with a special focus in upper extremity injuries and surgery. She also enjoys sharing her passion for orthopedics with the new generation of physician assistants by teaching at local PA programs.

At home, her interests include raising her two young girls, riding her Peloton, watching sports, gardening, and being active with her family.
