Mariam Oweis is a certified physician assistant with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings and facilities. Her postsecondary educational endeavors began with her Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from the University of Lynchburg, where she was the captain of the track and cross-country team.
Her passion and commitment for orthopedic patient care led Mariam to pursue an advanced degree as a physician assistant from Philadelphia University. At Philadelphia University, she represented her class in the Assembly of Representatives of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and was commended with the Class President’s Award for Student Services for her volunteer work with the Atlantic City Rescue Mission.
Mariam firmly believes in developing and maintaining an active relationship between the physician and patient to deliver optimal care, resulting in improved patient quality of life and physical ability. In her spare time, Mariam enjoys training for half marathons, hiking, and spending time with her dog.
