Tyler was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio, where he developed a passion for helping other people and a love for sports. After high school, he attended Capital University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in exercise science while playing basketball all four years. Upon graduation, he continued his education and attended the University of Dayton, where he earned his Master of Physician Assistant Practice degree.

With aspirations of serving a rural community, he moved to Bangor, Maine, where he worked in orthopedic trauma at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. He gained valuable experience throughout his four years working at the Level II Trauma Center which cared for the northern majority of Maine. Tyler has always had a special interest in the musculoskeletal system, kinesiology, and athletics, leading him to a career in orthopedics.

In his free time, Tyler enjoys playing basketball and golf, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
