The Reconstructive Orthopedics philosophy is to have patients be part of the process. You know, we are basically here to provide our input on the problem you have based on our experience and our education about the conditions that you're presenting with. And what we found is that team approach with the patient has been the most effective at developing, you know, an appropriate treatment algorithm.
Personally, as a sports medicine specialist and kind of a middle-aged jock, I'd like to get people to be as active and as able to do the things that they want to do on a daily basis. And so, my goal is always to get people back to that quality of life and that prior functional level that they came in wanting to do. So, I'm not generally going to recommend, you know, activity modification, or give up this activity that you may love. Our goal is to try to find a way to get you back to that prior level of function, and whether that be, again, high-level sports or just, you know, recreational activity.
