Samantha grew up in Southern New Jersey and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Rowan University. She completed the physician assistant program at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts, where she was awarded the Physician Assistant Alumni Scholarship for her graduating class. During her studies, Samantha was elected to her class’s executive board, and as the secretary, she worked tirelessly to connect her classmates with community service opportunities.

She cultivated her passion for fitness and athletics early, through participation in several sports. Showing immense discipline and dedication, she participated in competitive gymnastics for over ten years, earning numerous titles and awards in high school. She participated in everything from competitive cheering to track and pole-vaulting. After retiring from competitive gymnastics, she began coaching, overseeing the training and health of several teams of young champions.

Samantha returned home to New Jersey after completing her master’s degree and currently resides in Mount Laurel. She was awarded the orthopedic CAQ (certificate of added qualification), which is an additional and optional qualification PAs can choose to pursue to demonstrate an advanced level of ability within a subspecialty. The average PA who undertakes and completes the orthopedic CAQ has been working for at least six years, and Samantha completed this in her first three years since graduating and joining Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics. The orthopedic CAQ has been offered since 2011; only 130 PAs in the county have received the award within orthopedic surgery, and she is excited to join them. Samantha is the first PA at Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics to achieve this certification.
