“I had right knee replacement on October 11, 2016. I was very scared as at 58 years old I never had major surgery in my life. From the first meeting with Dr. Porat I felt comfortable that he was the right surgeon for me. Dr. Porat spent nearly an hour explaining everything to my husband and me.He is a very caring and personable surgeon. His "bedside" manners are great and comforting when you are as scared as I was. The WellBeMe care portal was very helpful and allowed me to read articles at my own pace. My Nurse Navigator Joan McBride was AWESOME! She was very patient with me and my millions of questions and fears. I was in contact with her via email and a few phone calls after our initial call right up until my surgery. I owe a lot of the success of my surgery to her as she helped me be as prepared as possible for the procedure. Every time I have called Chriscelle Durmond at Dr. Porat's office she has been very nice and helpful as well. She always gets back to me and makes me feel like whatever my questions are that they are very important. At all of my office visits I have had really nice and caring staff working with me as well. The staff at Virtua Voorhees took excellent care of me during my stay. I have had minimal pain and have more flexibility and use of this knee then in many, many years and it is just 90 days after surgery. THANK-YOU to Dr. Porat and his whole team for taking such great care of me and giving me my life back! I will be back to get the other knee done this year for sure and I am very confident that I will get the same care and results!”
“On the whole, my experience was excellent. I was particularly impressed by how well-organized the entire experience was. I was also impressed by the high level of concern and care of everyone with whom I had contact.
A few suggestions:
1. I do not believe I was sufficiently warned that my knee flexibility would be permanently reduced.
2. I was not sufficiently aware of how expensive physical therapy co-pay would be. I will be forever grateful that I was able to obtain a reduced rate. Would 2 weeks of in-house physical therapy have reduced my co-pay?
3. Ivy Rehab in Voorhees was far better than any other physical therapy I have ever experienced. I don't know how or if you can make that abundantly clear to your patients, but it would be beneficial to your patients if you could figure out a way.
4. Your computer systems are innovative and impressive but could stand better quality control. That is often the price of innovation.”

I have been able to prevent the symptoms by stretching my back and spine and my leg out as far as it can go.”
