- “It has been a year since my first knee replacement and in November it will be a year for my second one. For nearly eight years I received shots in my knees. At first it relieved the discomfort but finally I accepted the fact that a knee replacement was in my future. One thing that was important was that I needed to put aside the weeks that I needed to properly recover.... Time for me. Once I was committed there was no looking back. The preparation before the surgeries went smoothly. All my appointments were conveniently arranged by Dr.Schoifet's coordinator as were any questions I may have had. The day of the procedures went smoothly with the help of the nursing staff at Virtua. After the operation, I was attended to by friendly and professional nurses and staff. Both surgeries went without any problem and I was on my way home by two o'clock the following days. I was cared for at home by Virtua nurses and physical therapists before I started outside PT. Again, both the nurse and physical therapist were attentive and professional. It may sound like knee surgery is a breeze. Well, it is not.... Yes, it is painful, yes there is swelling and bruising, yes it is hard to sleep and be comfortable and yes the exercises hurt but with each day that goes by there is improvement. By six weeks, I was back to near normal and feeling GREAT and thankful. My advice to other patients is elevate,elevate,elevate and do your exercise as many times as advised. It's hard at first but as you are doing them it does feel good. When I laid in bed one night I decided to climb the steps of the Art Museum in Philly on the 1st Anniversary of my knee replacement. I am pleased and excited to say that on August 24,2016 I proudly climbed the steps with a smile and a little tear of joy. Thanks for my life back.”– MaryannPatient Rating:

- “I had back pain for years go to find out that my L4 and L5 was bone on bone. I went to Dr. Greenleaf and he told me to try back needles first. He was not pushing me into back surgery he told me that should be my last resort. So I tried needles but they only worked for short periods of time. So I went back to Dr. Greenleaf and told him it was time. His staff got me scheduled for surgery, everything was so easy working with them. They told me what to do to prepared me. Dr. Greenleaf did the surgery on June 22, 2015 he put in two pins and four screws. Dr. Greenleaf came to see me everyday that I was in the hospital and answered all my questions and concerns he had the best bedside manners. I followed up with him and he and he was always concern of my health. On December 28, 2015 I was involved in a car accident and I went to see Dr. Greenleaf, he assured me that everything was good with my back however, I had problems with my right hip again he did not rush into surgery that he said I will eventually need he told me to get shots in my hip. I had my first shot about a month ago with Dr. Axelrod she was a loving and caring Doctor. The staff that schedules my office visits with regards to my accident case have been wonderful and very efficient when scheduling my appointments.”– AngelaPatient Rating:

I found Dr. Marcelli and the staff easy and pleasant to deal with every time I visited the surgical center or the office. - “From the first visit I felt like everybody cared. Everybody was pleasant and very helpful. Any question I had were answered, everything was explained to me in detail and all appointments were scheduled for me. All I had to do was show up. My surgery to fuse L4 and L5 with a few rods and screws to secure everything gave me a quality of life back I never thought possible. Very little pain from surgery and 7 days after surgery I was doing many of the things I was unable to do for years! Five weeks past surgery and I just go about my day doing everything with no pain. I am careful of how I lift and twist my body and am still working on strengthen my back muscles. One talented and gifted Doctor fixed my back and gave me an opportunity to follow through on his work by doing my part to regain a quality of life for myself.
